Jeffrey L. Fazio

Jeffrey L. Fazio is a seasoned litigator with over three decades of experience handling complex class actions and consumer-fraud cases. Mr. Fazio graduated from New York University School of Law in 1989 and initially worked for large firms defending automakers and corporations in product liability, mass torts, securities fraud, and intellectual property theft litigation. Since 1994, he has dedicated his practice exclusively to representing plaintiffs in class actions and other sophisticated litigation matters.

In 1999, Mr. Fazio became a partner at Hancock Rothert & Bunshoft LLP and was appointed Chairman of its Class Action & Unfair Competition practice group the following year. He achieved national recognition through his pivotal role as lead counsel in the Ford Motor Company TFI module litigation, which resulted in a nationwide settlement valued at over $2.7 billion—the first court-ordered motor-vehicle recall in U.S. history—and led to regulatory changes by the Department of Transportation.

In 2003, Mr. Fazio co-founded Fazio | Micheletti LLP with Dina Micheletti to continue their successful collaboration prosecuting class actions involving automotive defects, false advertising, warranty breaches, and shareholder derivative claims against major corporations such as Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Apple Inc., Toyota Motor Corporation, Volvo, and others. His notable achievements include securing full reimbursement settlements for defective vehicle components and negotiating record-setting consumer-class-action settlements against major corporations like Apple Inc.

Mr. Fazio is also recognized for his expertise on automotive safety issues and has co-authored contributions to the Center for Auto Safety’s authoritative treatise “Automobile Design Liability.”
