Dina Micheletti graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1996. While in law school, Ms. Micheletti served as a research assistant to a member of the USF faculty (Professor C. Delos Putz) and earned a number of awards for her achievements in academia and advocacy, including the American Jurisprudence Award in a variety of subjects, the 1995 Moot Court Award for best oral argument, and the Dean’s Scholarship for Academic Excellence (awarded to the top ten first-year law students).
Since her graduation from law school, Ms. Michelletti has dedicated the vast majority of her practice to representing individual plaintiffs in catastrophic personal-injury cases and in fraud and breach-of-contract actions; and large groups of plaintiffs in class actions involving claims of unfair competition, fraud, and violation of consumer-protection statutes. In more than a decade of practice, Ms. Micheletti’s skill and contributions as a lead attorney in high-profile cases have resulted in decisions that have vindicated individual and consumer rights and established precedent-setting rulings — at both the trial and appellate levels — involving some of the largest corporations in the world.
But your case doesn’t have to be a multi-million-dollar class action to get Ms. Micheletti’s full attention; every case Ms. Micheletti agrees to take is prosecuted with the same care and rigor. For example, Ms. Michelletti helped a retired couple recover money they lost to a fraudulent investment scheme, assisted an individual in preventing a hospital from depriving him of his contractual rights, and advised an elderly woman who had been hoodwinked into investing in a fraudulent tax-shelter. Each of these cases was handled in the same way that a larger, more complex case would be handled — and each obtained a very favorable result. In short, whether your case is big — or not so big — Ms. Micheletti brings the same amount of dedication, skill, and forceful representation to bear on it.
Ms. Micheletti works closely with nationally-respected consumer-rights organizations, as well as consultants and academics who are widely regarded to be at the forefront of their professions. She is a member of the American Association of Justice, the Public Justice Foundation, and the National Association of Consumer Advocates.
